type='text'>Denmark immigration laws: an example for European neighbours

After the 2001 legislative elections, the right-wing coalition (including extreme right) then coming to power implemented new immigrition laws, complicating family bringing together. The result: for three years, numbers of political asylum granted have been reduced by four. And the population is logically happy with that.
The Denmark government's new idea is to control and select refugees entrusted by UNO. Indeed, such refugees are often useless for the Denmark society; consequently, a new law should enable authorities to select only young potential workers, and not uneducated eld people.
International reactions have been various: the French next President Nicolas Sarcozi has been very interested and should meet Denmark officials soon, whereas Condoleezza Rice claimed it was an infrigment to democracy and the USA could probably start a [cold] war to accomplish their holy mission.

Weapons against Global Warming

The scientists attending the international congress "Avoiding dangerous climatic change", held in Great-Britain (Exeter) at the beginning of February, have once again expressed their concerns. But for a quite different issue from what we are used to: most of the latest research results agree to say the use of weapons can worsen the global warming. In fact, very modern bombs release a level of energy sufficient to affect the world's average temperature when used frequently and without any restriction. Mr Dennis, the chairman of this congress, also mentionned the manufacturing of weapons had an impact on emissions of CO2.
The scientists have just officially asked Bush to improve the situation in Irak and to stop making wars.

Shell hold out hand to environment

The reactions of Shell employees to this morning Metro article, claiming the firm earns £295 of benefit per second, did not take a long time. Our informant added no details, except that "they really set about each other".

Our bracelet: definitely blue pale

To introduce this exciting blog made of topical thoughts - with a hint of humour-, we have decided to succomb to the puzzling but so cute fashion of bracelet wearing.

As revealed BBCNews today (and N. Mandela himself approved yesterday), the colour of your bracelet is not innocent. Some examples:

- Yellow: Support Our Troops (also in camouflage green, but a bit more ridiculous)
- Blue: Anti-bullying, anti-Bush vote, tsunami relief, against hanger in the world (oh yes, we're like that)
- Purple: Cystic fibrosis, lupus (also orange), domestic violence
- White, funny isn't it?: Jesus Loves Me, right to life
- Green: Ecology (very original)

...

So, express yourself, live your life, enjoy, and choose your bracelet.
